Bagels left over from this morning’s Supah Saturday event available in Lerner by the security guard’s desk. Not too many left, but enough to satisfy any mid-afternoon schmearing desires.

Free Food Alert

Rumor has it there’s free food at a barbecue in front of EC today at 6. Check it out if you’re in the area. We’ll update this post once we receive full confirmation of the details. If you know anything, make sure to let us know by e-mailing us at headlion [at] hungrycu.com.

Update 1: We hear this is for EC and Wien residents. We doubt your place of residence really matters. Enjoy!

Best Breakfast Sandwiches

I may draw the ire of the gourmands out there, but I have to say the best breakfast sandwiches in the Columbia area come from none other than our beloved Pinnacle. Bastion of pizza by the slice, awkward deli meats, and steam plate italian entrees that have been left out far too long. But, get to Pinnacle early enough in the morning and you can have yourself a made to order breakfast sandwich for between $2 and $3. Piping hot. Deliciously bad for you. And, less likely to send you clutching your stomach and running out of that morning midterm than those atrocities heaped up and nuked in Cafe 212.

How do I do mine? Egg and Cheese on a roll… with a hash brown fried up and stuffed inside. If you’re really daring, add a meat. Rutgers may have the Fat Daryl. But, we’ve got the Breakfast Dan. (Yea, I’m going to make that happen. Someone call Maxim.) I’m contemplating trying to get them to just make me my breakfast sandwich between two hash browns. Now, that would be genius.
